(Are you ready for the summer? Me sporting dollar sunglasses scored from the "1 Spot" at Target)
Hey Y'all,
Woooo...well, this week has been pretty busy...then again, what week isn't? I thought for sure that we would have some down-time after the big I.C.E. Atlanta show, but alas, no...no, no, no. Lately, I've been busy practicing with FOLKLORE and with members of GEMINI CRICKET, in preparation for a handful of performances coming up in the week. The first big music festival of the summer, the terribly-named ATHFEST, is coming up and both bands are playing two separate shows on Saturday. And before that, Folklore is playing on Wednesday with DEXTER ROMWEBER, former member of FLAT DUO JETS...and I think his sister, SARA ROMWEBER, former member of LET'S ACTIVE! is playing drums for him...on top of that, Wednesday night is also Folklore's final "official" show...so yeah, Wednesday is a big big deal for us.
Other than that, Missy and I have started what we call "OPERATION CUTIFY", in an effort to make RANCHO COCOA (our house), a little more CUTE. Thing is, we really haven't spent too much time fixing up the house since we bought it a little over a year ago...so, we decided to start budgeting more time towards "home improvement". First on our agenda is painting over the ugly forest green trim in our dining room/kitchen. Missy spent much of the weekend cleaning and spackling...
We did take a little time out to play with the Wii, though...Missy made a Mii profile for TOFU BABY...we had a lot of fun making Tofu Baby play tennis, go bowling, and box:
FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - eating out with Davey, Jay, and Terri was nice
RAOUL - seeing "Baby Mama" at the discount movie theater

Those glasses are rad.
Also, we should be Wii friends!!! Do you have my email address? Hit my up if you want to swap codes!
THose glasses make you look so....californian. We saw the Dexter Romweber Duo at the 40 watt last month and it was awesome...so get ready!! I have something random for you that I brought back from my visit home (south georgia) this weekend. looking forward to athfest...i hope all goes well for you this week!!
Hey, yeah! I'll have to message you via Flickr and give you my email, or vice versa. Missy's got the code, so I'll have to get it off her. We're still kinda new to the Wii...we haven't even done one of those parade thingys yet...
I'm off to practice now!
hi Sara!
Yeah, we saw Dexter at Athfest last year! We're looking forward to playing with him on wednesday night...second to last Folklore show forever!
As for the sunglasses...well, you know what they say - you can take the boy out of California, but you can't take the California out of the boy...
Does anyone notice the Mii next to Tofu Baby? It totally looks like Raoul!
Yeah, Missy and I made our own Miis first that totally look like us...and then we made one of Tofu Baby, which looks really cool, I think. We were surprised that we were able to make her face. We couldn't make Tofu Baby's "pacifier hat" though, so we just made her wear a touk...
