Snuggle Bunny Monday

Here is the funniest picture of all three of my pets together! I love this photo for so many reasons - look at Oreo and her pose! It makes me laugh so hard! Nilla is there and Jumbles is behind her, hanging out in his pan. They just all look so cute.

Our pets have been great, for the most part. Back in November our bunny, Jumbles, was diagnosed with a parasite. It is a terrible thing that rabbits can get this, but we caught it early and treated this. So we have been to the vet school so many times since November. I also hesitate to write about this, because the buns are doing really really good, but if you notice he is separated from Oreo in this photo. Poor Jum has been on and off medicine since November. In March he had a minor surgery, and his blood test levels were high for the parasite, so he has been on the treatment ever since. He will finally finish May 31! I am counting down the days!

Oreo was sick about two weeks ago, and now she is back to "herself." Rabbits are such different pets than a cat. So different - and we have learned lots since finding Oreo in 2009. I am happy to report she is doing great and is happy and healthy!

And for our cat Nilla, she is totally good and happy and healthy! Go Pets! this is where I sound like a crazy pet lady, but I love my pets so much. It is like Nacho Libre when he says "the children, they are my heart" about the orphans he cares for. I feel the same way - "the pets, they are my heart."

Raoul thought it would be funny to get this bowl for the buns! They still eat out of is, even though it has the skull and crossbones.

Here is Jumbles and Oreo having a nice time. They really like this new little woven bunny bed that I got for them. At first Raoul said they are too big for the pet bed, but they have been into it the last week or so! Jumbles likes it more than Oreo does, but I did catch Oreo sitting in it, too.

Aww! Just look at these best buns, Jumbles and Oreo. They are sitting so close to one another that their whiskers tickle each other's faces.

Oreo and Jumbles are best friends. Oreo likes it when Jumbles grooms her ears. This is what she is doing in this picture. She puts her head under his chin so he can groom her. he does this to her, too. Sometimes they do this and neither one will groom the other, so it becomes a game.


When Oreo is really happy, she flops on her side. It is adorable to witness! I love when she does this, so you have to keep her very happy so she will flop.


This is Jumbles in motion - his favorite activity is tearing the paper to shreds that is in his pan. Here he is making me lots of "confetti." He does this the most after I change the paper and hay in his pan. This is funny to watch, and if you are not in the bun's room, you can hear him tearing paper like crazy. Silly bun.

Both of our bunnies love to eat from this radish-shaped dish. Oreo sometimes yanks it out from under poor Jumbles when he is chewing.

Look! Nilla is hanging out with Jumbles! Nilla visits the bun's home quite often. She loves Oreo and Jumbles. The rabbits are not afraid of Nilla at all. They are curious and come to say hello to her. All Nilla wants to do is eat their salad and drink from their ceramic water dish, also known as "bun water." Nilla loves bun water! It must taste better than the water in her very own dish! This week Nilla "kissed" Jumbles and gave him a few licks near his ears. I was thrilled she "kissed" him, but Raoul was convinced she was "tasting" him. We can't be sure...


Oreo and Jumbles played so much in the patio, that they get so super tired. Oreo is relaxing by her Woodland Getaway.

Here is Jumbles. Jumbles loves to sleep on the blankets that I give to them. Sometimes he likes to move them around and dig in them, too. He is sleepy in this photo, and when he gets sleepy, his ears start to droop and he sort of tips over to one side!


Oreo is getting a sip of water right behind Jumbles. She makes a slurpy sound when she drinks.


They are really excited cos I am putting up some new artwork in their room! I will have to post some more pictures later because this is when the room is in progress. I sure love how it is looking lately!


And I think the bunnies will enjoy it, too.

Ore and Jumbles are good friends, as you can tell. They often groom one another and cuddle very close to each other. Jumbles has been at our home since April and he is really making himself at home. He is getting more used to me petting him and he also does not mind when I kiss him. He is so soft! I love these bunnies.
