Weekend Wind-Down #11

HEADLESS HUSBAND 8064
(headless display in the lobby of the movie theater we went to today)

Whoooo...what a busy weekend! Today, we decided to take it real easy. We slept in then got a late lunch at Panera with Jay and Terri. Afterwards, we went to go see BABY MAMA at the discount theater at our local mall. Everyone agreed that it was much better than anyone of us expected...

Anyways, our busy weekend started late Friday night. FOLKLORE played a show at the aluminum-clad GO BAR with a band from Cleveland, Ohio called THE DREADFUL YAWNS:

When we went on, it was about 11:30pm:

By the time I got home and settled down to sleep it was 1am...and then Missy and I got up at 5am to pack up the car and head out to Atlanta for the I.C.E. ATLANTA craft sale. Needless to say, I was very very tired on saturday...but, that's a whole 'nother story that I'm going to have to tell you tomorrow. Right now we're still recovering...Missy's so tired, she couldn't even wait around for me to get the Weekend Wind-Down questions typed up, and decided to go to bed early...even though I'm a bit distracted by the Lakers vs. Celtics game at the moment, I've decided to answer the self-imposed survey tonight anyways and then have Missy fill in her answers tomorrow...

BEST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
RAOUL - getting to I.C.E. Atlanta "on-time" despite leaving later than we wanted to and having to find an alternate route due to major road closures and highway construction
MISSY - seeing all our crafty friends at I.C.E. and meeting new people/friends

WORST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
RAOUL - getting to the cafeteria at the Dekalb World Market two minutes after they closed - devestating after a long hot day in Centennial Park...all we wanted was a nice meal and to drink lots of ice-cold liquids in a nice cool environment...
MISSY - getting to the World Market two minutes afterr 8pm

WORST MEAL OF THE PAST WEEK?
RAOUL - the buffet at Ryan's - we ate late, the food was less than spectacular, and, even though we wanted relief from the heat, the restaurant was actually too cold for our comfort
MISSY - having left-over pizza at I.C.E. after it had been sitting in my lunch box all day

WORD OR PHRASE OF THE PAST WEEK?
RAOUL - "it's soooooooooo hot!"
MISSY - "I can't think of anything"

WHAT WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE THING YOU SPENT MONEY ON LAST WEEK?
RAOUL - gasoline...filling up my empty tank before heading out to Atlanta cost over $40
MISSY - groceries

WHAT WAS THE CHEAPEST THING YOU SPENT MONEY ON LAST WEEK?
RAOUL - can of Mountain Dew from the vending machine at work...only 50 cents
MISSY - a postage stamp

WHAT'S THE #1 THING ON YOUR "TO DO" LIST FOR THIS WEEK?
RAOUL - re-organize my "crafting stuff" and cleaning up
MISSY - send artwork out to Chris Fischer

PERSONAL SOUNDTRACK FOR THE PAST WEEK?
RAOUL - Teenbeat Records 20th Anniversary comp, Teenbeat Records 2004 comp, K Records International Hip Swing comp, Vampire Weekend, Flying Lotus, Johnny Greenwood Is The Selector - Trojan Records comp
MISSY - my iPod on shuffle, Sleater-Kinney, B52's, Elf Power, Of Montreal
