Weekend Wind-Down #52 - Pumped Up Edition

Today we headed out to PUMP IT UP to celebrate our friend Melanie's BIRTHDAY, and to also celebrate her getting her hairdressers license. We had no idea exactly what to expect when we were invited to this party, other than it would involve INFLATED STRUCTURES that you could jump on and that there would be free AIR HOCKEY. Little did we know how much fun we would actually have:







We were led into one huge room. Everyone removed their shoes and stashed loose belongings into little cubbies. Melanie's boyfriend Matthew (who used to run ASAURUS RECORDS and who is a current co-worker of ours as well as former roommate) made a mix cd full of "JUMP" and "BOUNCE" songs...all the usual suspects were on it - Van Halen's "Jump", Kriss Kross' "Jump", Zapp's "More Bounce To The Ounce", etc. etc...the cd started appropriately with HOUSE OF PAIN'S "JUMP", signalling the start of our hour-long romp:

After half-an-hour, our minder led us into an even larger room with even larger slides, obstacle courses, and moon bounces. The lights were turned down low and they turned on a disco ball:
