Weekend Wind-Down #153

We had a pretty busy Saturday this past weekend. After our usual Saturday morning visit to the post office to send off orders, we headed out to THYME AFTER THYME for ONE MORE last time - Missy ended up winning a RAFFLE they had last weekend, and we went to go pick up the steel SHEPHERD'S HOOK she had won. They told us that we could look around and buy any more of their remaining plants at a deep discount, and we couldn't pass up that offer...









Afterwards, we headed back into Athens and stopped in at COMMUNITY, this really cool downtown clothing and accessories boutique. They had just started carrying some JEWELRY made by Missy, and we dropped in to replenish their stock (more on that later)...









Then, after Community, we headed over to BEAR HOLLOW PARK where they were having their "ZOO DAY" event. We got to pet some animals (one of Missy's favorite pastimes) and, best of all, we got to see the BLACK BEARS up close, having an afternoon snack, all before heading back in-town to attend the PULASKI STREET ART CRAWL (more on that later...)

















FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - I think the Art Walk and Zoo Day were both pretty fun! But seeing First Aid Kit was the best. It was a really good show!
RAOUL - First Aid Kit at the Buckhead Theater were amazing.

WORST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Getting a terrible cold!
RAOUL - Missy getting sick.

FUNNIEST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Remembering "Jack Chicken"
RAOUL - That girl's mother bringing her a drink at the show and offering to stand in her place so she could go "have a wee"

WORD OR PHRASE OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - "Feel Good Food"
RAOUL - "Accucheck Nano...you're the one for me!"

FAVORITE MEAL OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Grilled cheese and soup!
RAOUL - Oh man...those sweet potato fries were the bomb.

WORST MEAL OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Maybe I had too much soup...
RAOUL - I had those Pop Tarts from the vending machine at work.

THREE THINGS ON YOUR MUST-DO LIST FOR THIS WEEK?
MISSY - Send stuff to ICE Atlanta pop-up shop, fill out Etsy orders, sew some rabbits.
RAOUL - Run off Shiver cassettes for Seth, make copies of new zines, hang up new curtain rod in bathroom.
