Weekend Wind-Down #127

Thought I'd share some old photos from the Rancho Cocoa FLICKR archives, some old photos that were taken before the blog existed...here are some photos from the MAD HATTER'S TEACUP RIDE in DISNEYLAND, from a whirlwind weekend trip to California in December 2007...





















One day we were at Disneyland and then the next day we were at the DERBY DOLLS ROLLER DERBY CHAMPIONSHIP in some nondescript warehouse somewhere in Los Angeles...the final bout was between the FIGHT CLUB and THE SIRENS, who wore police-style uniforms. The Sirens were able to administer an LAPD-style beat down in the end. As usual, photos were strictly prohibited, but I managed to take a few photos anyways...







































FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - I liked going to the yard sales!
RAOUL - Shark Week? I've been enjoying Mob Week on AMC.

WORST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Hardly any rain, even though there was lots of thunder and lightning...it scares NIlla!
RAOUL - My new ATM card got lost/stolen in the mail.

FUNNIEST MOMENT OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Seeing the funny stuff at the yard sales that people should've just thrown away (like those teeth!)
RAOUL - Watching the severely edited and censored versions of classic mob movies on AMC's "Mob Week"

WORD OR PHRASE OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - "Might as well do something, while you're doing nothing"
RAOUL - "Might as well do something, while you're doing nothing"

FAVORITE MEAL OF THE PAST WEEK?
MISSY - Banana cinnamon smoothies!
RAOUL - The hot bar at Earth Fare has been killin' it lately.

FAVORITE YARD SALE FIND FROM THIS PAST WEEKEND?
MISSY - Ooh, all the deer items!
RAOUL - I'm stoked about the tripod!

ONE THING YOU REALLY WANT TO GET DONE THIS WEEK?
MISSY - Write about the ATHICA art show coming up.
RAOUL - Finally clear out the hallway.
