Today was such a nice spring day that we decided to get out of the house for a while...that and the band next door was practicing...which normally wouldn't be a problem, but the bass player thinks he's Les Claypool or something. Ugh. So, we headed out to Lowe's to get some new flowers for the bed out front, hoping that the neighbors would be done with their early afternoon practice by the time we got home...
The weather this afternoon was so nice, It's hard to imagine that yesterday we had one of the worst storms of the year. It was so bad yesterday that they decided to ring the "tornado siren" which was audible throughout town. Being from California, it was a totally new experience for me. I guess we were in real danger...tornados ended up ripping through downtown Atlanta and Cabbage Town...check out pictures of the destruction HERE. I think I like earthquakes better. They don't last as long as tornados and seem to be easier to survive. Anyways, with any luck, the neighborhood dogs (which some of the other neighbors often let run loose) won't dig up our newly planted flowers...
