Yesterday, Missy and I went to the opening day of the2010 ATHENS FARMERS' MARKET, at BISHOP PARK, which is just down the street and around the corner from our house. As expected, the market was crowded with people eager to get fresh, locally sourced produce. We rushed to load up on veggies and freshly baked bread before it was all gone...
We took a break from grocery shopping and grabbed a bite to eat from the delicious FARM CART. We got a couple of yummy VEGGIE BREAKFAST BURRITOS with homemade CORN NUTS. We headed to a nearby baseball diamond and settled down in the shade of the batters' cage. We ate while we watched kids playing in the field. Needless to say, the burritos were awesomely scrumptious and the deep fried corn nuts were an unexpected surprise...we washed our meal down with BLUEBERRY LEMONADES we got from DONDERO's booth...
