You might remember THIS POST FROM LAST YEAR when we had a pair of Carolina wrens built a nest in our hanging basket. This year we had them return, and today their four (!) baby birds took flight and left home. It was a thrill to see them this morning learn to fly! Here are some photos I took from inside, looking out into our patio.
Here is one baby getting ready to fly away. They would come and go through a hole in our screen window. If you watch the video below, you can see one of the baby birds plop into the red plastic cup! But don't worry - it's filled with soil, not beer! And the baby bird was able to fly out...
