So, we're taking another break from blogging about China...today is the big 29th annual TWILIGHT CRITERIUM bicycle race in downtown Athens, and we're planning on attending some of the events. Some pre-race activities started last night...we went downtown to get our mail from the P.O. box and to grab a bite to eat, and on the way to the restaurant we got a chance to see some of the "inflatable entertainment zones" that were set up in front of our city hall:
This morning, we headed out to the R.WOOD STUDIO for their twice-yearly open house and pottery sale. We ended up getting a cool little plate from one of the bargain tables and some ceramic magnets. I took some photos outside the studio and in their "seconds" room:
Afterwards, we headed over to THE GRIT for brunch. I got the breakfast burrito platter and Missy got an iced coffee and a plateful of grilled potatoes and veggies...total starch overload:
We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up around the house...in about an hour we're going to head back downtown to catch a couple of the bicycle races...and then attend the TWILIGHT DELIRIUM show at the 40 Watt...so, stay tuned for "part two" some time late tonight, or early tomorrow...hope you're having a great weekend!
