Missy and I made our way down to the newly restored BLAKE PIER to check out the view:
The water around Blake Pier was so clean and clear that you could actually see fish swimming around in it...
After a whole day of working and exploring we started getting incredibly hungry. We headed for this shopping center overlooking the pier and found a place called the NATURAL GOURMET RESTAURANT. The food was terrific and the view was even better:
While souvenir shopping, I got my dad these funny little figurines that I knew would appeal to his sense of humor:
At dusk we decided to finally make our way back to the hotel. We caught a cab back to Central said "adieu" to beautiful Stanley:
Back at the IFC CENTER we spotted this photobooth and jumped at the opportunity to make fools of ourselves:
Once again, we made our way across the big pedestrian bridge. The neon Hong Kong skyline was even more spectacular at night and so was crossing VICTORIA HARBOUR on the ferry:
We saw these miniature restaurant scenes in a shop window:
At our hotel room, TRAVEL KITTY posed with the ceramic CHAIRMAN MAO statuette I bought in Stanley, along with the day's haul of trinkets:
Missy snuggled up for bed while I tried on the bitchin' Quicksilver snowboarding jacket I found at the Stanley Market. The jacket only cost $100 HK, which is only $15 US...and it's NOT a knock off! It's really good quality and it'll come in handy this winter:
The building across from the hotel had these mesmerizing lights that would gradually change colors. Each night I watched the pulsating light show until I fell asleep...totally hypnotic.
