(Steve, Katy, Jean, Becky, Lydia, Missy, and Jonathan having good times at Popfest)
The 2010 version of ATHENS POPFEST was in full swing pretty much all last week, hence the lack of action on our little bloggy blog. With the week behind us, it's still taken us several days to reset and recuperate...these are some images from last week's festivities...
Popfest officially kicked-off for me with the WEREWOLVES show at LITTLE KINGS...after days of practicing, our performance was slightly diminished when Wyatt's voice started to give out about the third song in. We soldiered through and did the best we could regardless...
Our friends ROSE and LEIA practiced in our livingroom for their afternoon show at the CALEDONIA. Needless to say, they sounded heavenly...

After the show, a bunch of us trekked up to THE GRIT to carbo-load before the evening show...
We headed back to the 40 WATT club in time to catch GRAPE SODA tear it up:
Leia did double-duty with her band THE AFTERNOON NAPS...
We headed outside to get a breath of fresh air and discovered a NECKFACE tag behind the club...the STREET ART NERD in me was giddy:
Rose put in some overtime with her band GO SAILOR and made all the kids go wild:

THE WEDDING PRESENT closed out the night by playing their hit album, BIZARRO. I was dancing so much from joy that I failed to get a decent photo...maybe next time?
