When we arrived at the CENTRAL PIER, we were greeted by the ORGANIC FARMERS' MARKET, hawking their wholesome natural food. It would've been nice to chat to some of the farmers and maybe do a bit of shopping/supporting, but we had a ferry to catch...
Probably on the opposite end of the spectrum from the Farmer's Market was JO JO'S KEBAB PIZZA CURRY. I don't know if "kebab pizza curry" were three separate options or one singular and totally bizarre eating experience. I didn't have the stomach to find out (pun intended). Between gastronomical experimentation and possibly choppy waters, my gut would probably not have fared well...
Riding the STAR FERRY across Victoria Harbour is probably one of the best ways to travel to and fro between the island and the mainland and we wanted to be sure to squeeze at least one crossing into our trip. It would've been infinitely faster to go by subway, so much less spectacular and fun. With the Hong Kong skyline receding behind us, we bid goodbye to the island until the next eventual visit...
Back on land, we stopped to get more snacks and souvenirs before continuing on our adventure. We couldn't help but get CRUNKY...
We walked the streets of Kowloon, darting into different shops and malls, as the sun dipped down and the streets got more and more crowded. Serendipitously, and much to Missy's excitement, we found the shop for the craft/design team CHOCOLATE RAIN. Their shop and goods were inspiring and we felt a bit rejuvenated, especially after hiking all over the city earlier in the day. Again, they were just one of those things that we had read about, but never really thought that we'd actually encounter it, nor did we actively plan on seeking them out...anyways, we were lucky to have found them...
From there, we headed back to the CTMA TOY MALL, in search of BLYTHE DOLLS and other goodies...
Missy tried to keep the drooling to a minimum while considering the options...
We took these LEGO photos for Missy's brother Joe, who is a Lego enthusiast...
You're not really allowed to take photos in the toy mall, but "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" signs (like the one in photo I took below) rarely stop me (or Missy) from clicking off a few pics...
On our way back to the hotel, we saw a shop called "DAHOOD"...sure enough, it was an "urban lifestyle footwear outlet"...
