So Cute It Hurts!

PRESSIES 0278

Wow! So Missy came home last night from her vacation in Seattle with a suitcase full of goodies. Among those goodies were a few ultra-cute birthday presents for yours truly! Some items were bought at the shops that hosted the PLUSH YOU exhibition that Missy took part in and some were bought at a Japanese bookstore and a Japanese dollar store...My most favorite gifts are the FRIENDS WITH YOU "Wish Come True" good luck charms - "Malfi" (above) and "Dimension X Zozo" (below). I'm way excited that I can add these pieces to my small Friends With You collection...

I also got a couple of ANMANPAN figures which will fit right in with my little Anmanpan collection (of course - Missy knows me all too well!)

I also got this little figure designed by PESKIMO and KIDROBOT. The character is seamonster called "SKEEJEE" and you can open it up to find a little baby SkeeJee hangin' out in it's see-thru belly:

Missy also got me some cute ceramics from the Japanese dollar store, a smiling bowl and a plate shaped like a bunny:

She also got me this frog-shaped sponge (I'm the one that does the dishes here at the Ranch) that sits on top of your dish detergent bottle...

...and a big box of POCKY - FOR MEN (I love gender-specific sweets!):

And last, but not least, Missy got me (actually, US) ARANZI ARONZO's "ARANZI MACHINE GUN #2 - SCARY CUTE!"...we already had volume #1 and #3, and now our collection is complete...at least until they release the next book...and just in time for Halloween, too! Yay!

When my sister came to visit me in Japan, she got all of her Xmas gifts for the folks back home from the dollar store. It cost her about 30 bucks to shop for all of her family and friends. And they loved the gifts! True story.

I believe it! If only Dollar General or Dollar Tree were as cute as the Japanese dollar stores...sigh.
